BREAKING... Juventus Appionts Club Legend "Andrea Pirlo" As New Manager Of The Club.

Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo has officially been appionted as the new Juventus manager.

The annoucement was made just few hours after the sack of Maurizio Sarri as manager of the Bianconeri.

Pirlo has only started working as the club’s under-23s manager ten-days ago, but has now been promoted to succeed Sarri as first-team manager on a two-year deal.

CloudNine Sports had reported hours ago that, Maurizio Sarri was sacked following the club’s shocking last-16 elimination from the Champions League by Lyon on Friday night.

Sources claimed that several other elite managers were linked to take over the managerial job in Turin, with former manager Allegri becoming favourite for the role after his successful spell with the club between 2014 and 2019, which he won four consecutive domestic doubles, a feat still not matched in any of the top five European leagues.

Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane were also linked to the job, but Juve President Andrea Agnelli has named club legend Andrea Pirlo as Sarri’s successor.

A club statement read: "The club has decided to entrust him with the technical leadership of the first team, after having already selected him for Juventus Under-23.

"Today's choice is based on the belief that Pirlo has what it takes to lead, from his debut on the bench, an expert and talented squad to pursue new successes.

The 41-year-old joined Juventus as a player in 2011 from rivals AC Milan, and played 164 times for the old lady, scoring 19 goals in his four-year stay at the club.

He was also part of the Italian national team to win the 2006 Fifa World Cup in Germany.
