Tottenham Hotspur mourns the death of Serge Aurier’s brother, Christopher Aurier who died early Monday morning.
The Ivorian international Serge Aurier currently plays as a right-back for Tottenham Hotspur, since his move to the North London side in August 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to reports, Christopher Aurier was shot two times in the stomach outside a night club in Toulouse at around 5am
The 26-year-old was rushed to Toulouse University hospital in a critical condition shortly where he was confirmed dead.
French police are still hunting the gunman who escaped the scene immeciately.
The tragic incidence occured just hours after his 27-year-old brother, Serge Aurier, featured for Tottenham as Jose Mourinho's men came from behind to defeat Arsenal 2-1 in the North London Derby.
Tottenham expressed their condolence via the clubs official Twitter handle;
“The Club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.
“Everybody at the Club sends their sincerest condolences to Serge and his family. Our thoughts are with them all.”
Christopher Aurier, 26, played for Rodéo Toulouse -- which was in the French fifth division last season.
