Bruno Fernandes Anticipates A Good Link-Up With Paul Pogba And Marcus Rashford, As Man United Return To Premier League Action Against Spurs.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes believes that the Red Devils would be a stronger force than before, as he can't wait to link up with the fully fit-again fellow midfield star Paul Pogba and forward Marcus Rashford when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.
United’s first test following the restart of the Premier League would be at the Tottenham Hotspur staduim against fellow top-four contender Spurs, who happen to have their former manager Jose Mourinho in charge.
“I think linking up with Paul and Marcus is going to be easy,” he added.
“They are two of the best players in the Premier League, they have qualities to help us a lot.
"They have already shown that and I think now with both of them back we will be stronger than before and this is good for us.
"Now everyone is fit and we can do better on the training pitch and obviously in the games.
The Portuguese international who accomplished his dream move to join United from Sporting Lisbon on a five-year deal last January, remains confident in the team’s ability to continue in their good form from where they stop.
Manchester United had defeated Manchester City in the league 2-0 at Old Trafford on March 8, and then four days later, cruised to a massive 5-0 victory away at LASK in the Europa League before the enforced 3-months coronavirus lockdown.
The 24-year-old playmaker spoke exclusively on the club's website ahead of the resumption of the League and on the game against Spurs, he said;
"I and other team-mates are itching to get back into action as the hunt for a top-four finish continues in earnest.
"The return to fitness of Pogba and Rashford will further boost our quest and Fernandes, who has yet to play alongside either, is looking forward to what’s to come.
“Everyone is doing very well. We are excited to play again because it’s been a long stop, it’s never happened in the history of football,” he said.

CloudNine Sports reported that Bruno Fernandes won the Premier League Player of the Month of February, just in his first month stay with United, and so far scored 3 goals and created 4 assist in 9 appearances across all competitions.
He has also won individual honours at the club, which includes the Manchester United Potm trophy and the PFA’s monthly award.
