Ahmed Musa Reveals One Of His Best Days As A Super Eagles Player.
Super Eagles Captain and striker Ahmed Musa had revealed that he can't forget one of the best days of his life as a Super Eagles player, as the day makes him shed tears of joy.
Today 22nd June, makes it two-years since Musa scored a sensational brace for Nigeria in the 2-0 victory against Iceland at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 27-year-old striker at the time, became the first Leicester City player score a goal at the World's biggest football tournament.
His brace also saw him become the highest scoring Nigerian in World Cup history with four goals, and also the only Nigerian to score a brace more than once in the competition, after his two goals against Argentina at the Brazil 2014 FiFA World Cup.
The 2013 AFCON winner took to his social media page on Tuesday, to share the memorable throwback moment;
"Wow how time flies"... He wrote.
"I can't believe it's 2 years already since I scored those much needed goals at the World Cup.
"The tears of joy I shed that day I can never forget. Unarguably one of the best days of my life. Grateful to Allah and everyone of you for the love."
Ahmed Musa currently plays for Saudi Arabian club side Al-Nassr, scoring 9 goals in 48 appearances since joining the side in August 2018. He won the Saudi Premier League and Saudi Super Cup with the squad last year.
Musa also has made 91 caps with 15 goals for the Super Eagles since his debut in 2010. He was among the Gernot Rohr team to win the Bronze medal at the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
