Victor Osimhen Annouces The Tragic Death Of His Father "Patrick Osimhen".
Super Eagles youngster Victor Osimhen, has announced the passing away of his father, Patrick Osimhen at 80.
The 21-year-old striker, who currently plays in the Ligue1 for Lille confirmed the tragic news on Sunday morning via his official Twitter handle;
“R.I.P. Dad. No words to describe this feeling"...he wrote.
Victor’s father played a very crucial role in his football career, and have watched his son become a successful player.
Victor Osimhen was seen as a hotshot, after his sensational performance at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he emerged the tournament top scorer with 10 goals, as the Golden Eaglets were crowned champions, clinching thier fifth title in the history of the tournament.
He was also among the top three nominees for the African Youth footballer of the year last January, alongside fellow compatriot Samuel Chukwueze, and Morroco's Achraf Hakimi.
Osimhen's future with Lille still remains uncertain following different transfer speculations surrounding his stay at the French club, with interest from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli and other several top European clubs wanting his signature.
