U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan and her husband Servando Carrasco welcomes the arrival of their first child named Charlie Elena Carrasco, ending a six-year wait.
The Major League Soccer stars couple got married on New Year's Eve in 2014, and first revealed last October that they were expecting a child in April.
Alex Morgan '30' took to social media on Saturday to express her delight on the successful delivery amid the ongoing global coronavirus outbreak, sharing a heartwarming photo of her daughter;
"At 1130am on May 7 weighing 8lbs5oz, Charlie Elena Carrasco made her grand entrance into the world. She made us wait longer than expected, but I should have known she would do it her way and her way only. My super moon baby,"...wrote the new mom.
The two-time FIFA World Cup Champion with the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, finished as joint top scorer alongside fellow compatriot Megan Rapinoe and English international Ellen White with 6-goals each at the just concluded 2019 FIFA World Cup in France.
Morgan was reported to have announced that she won't be retiring from professional football anytime soon after leading the USWNT to a second consecutive World Cup title in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
She hopes to “Get Back quick on the Field” for next Olympic Games Just Months After Giving Birth, and also intends to feature at the 2023 Women's World Cup.
