Playing Matches Without The Fans, Is Sadder Than Dancing With Your Sister... Spain coach "Luis Enrique"
Spanish football coach Luis Enrique has expressed his disappointment regarding playing football matches without the fans in attendance at the stadium.
The 50-year-old former Barcelona player and manager, is a no fan of playing matches without spectators as leagues begin to return in empty stadiums, with the Bundesliga becoming the first major European league to resume the season last week under strict government Covid-19 measures.
Luis Enrique expressed his forlorn in an interview on a YouTube basketball program with Colgados del Aro;
"Playing matches without supporters is sadder than dancing with your sister,"
"I have watched German football and it is very unfortunate and ugly, You hear the insults and you lose the intimacy of the good times.
He also recognizes the fact that having live matches back would be very useful, as it would be a sigh of relief to all sports lovers who have missed the game for more than two-months due to the lockdown.
"It is a business that generates a lot of money and even if the show is really different from the one offered when there are spectators, it can help us pass the time during the containment and go through this period."
"If you are a fan of football or basketball then watching a match is always interesting."
CloudNine Sports reported that Luiz Enrique only recently returned back to the job last November after taking a break due to personal reasons.
He was set to take the 2010 Fifa World Cup champions Spain to the Euro 2020 tournament which was initially schduled to begin next month, before it was postponed to next year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
