Dele Alli Sustains Minor Facial Injury Following A Robbery Incidence With Armed Thieves In His Home In North London.
Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has suffered a minor facial injury after some thieves broke into his home in North London early Wednesday morning to steal some various items, which includes thousands of pounds worth of jewelry.
The 24-year-old England International, was punched on the face several times after engaging in a brawl with the armed thieves who later made their escape following the ugly incidence.
Dele Alli has been self-isolating in his residence with his long-term partner Ruby Mae; his brother, Harry Hickford, and his girlfriend, together with another friend.
According to reports, The Police are understood to be reviewing a CCTV footage of the incident in the north London property, although no arrests have been made as yet.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at approximately 00:35hrs on Wednesday, 13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address in Barnet.
"Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing.
"One male occupant of the property, aged in his 20s, suffered a minor facial injury after being assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment".
The police also stated that investigation is still ongoing.
A Spurs spokesperson added: “We have been offering our support to Dele and those isolating with him. We encourage anyone with any information to help the police with their investigation to come forward.”
Dele Alli is doing fine at the moment, as the minor injuries he sustained requires no hospital treatment, same with other household members.
He took to his official Twitter handle, to thank those who had sent him messages of support on his social media pages.
"Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we're all okay now. Appreciate the support"... He wrote.
Alli who has spent close to two months at home due to the novel Coronavirus outbreak, is currently expected to return to group training with his Spurs teammates on Monday May 18th, as the Premier League aims to resume the season on June 12.
