The Super Eagles Are Set To Start Receiving Their Bonuses And Allowances In Naira And Not The Regular Dollars....NFF president Pinnick.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick has stated that the football federation is contemplating to pay the Super Eagles bonuses and allowances in the Nigerian currency (Naira), rather than the regular US Dollars.

Pinnick speaking to newsmen, says that the NFF will be making a lot of difficult decisions across board, and several measures are been set in place regarding some of its activities in the coming weeks.

Shortly after it was announced that the Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr would no more recieve his salary in Dollars but now in Naira, the players are also not exempted from the new arrangement as they will also get the same treatment whenever they are playing in Nigeria.


The NFF boss further butressed that the decision would be in line with the government new fiscal policy, which is in other to maintain and influence the nations economy.

“When they play in Nigeria, their bonuses have been in naira. When they play abroad, we pay them in dollars but that can even change,” Pinnick said.

“If the government is saying that we need to strengthen our naira, we should not be paying in dollars. We are an integral part of the government,” he concluded.


Pinnick has also assured Nigerians that he has no issues with the Super Eagles Gaffer Rohr, as a new contract process is still ongoing despite several speculations consigning his contract renewal.

He also appreciates the Franco-German tactician for all his efforts so far in the team, as the NFF would continue to render him support in any way all jn the best interest of the country.
