Bacary Sagna Have Advised PSG Star Kylian Mbappe To Remain At The Club For One More Season Before Connsidering A Move Real Madrid.
Former Arsenal and Manchester City full-back Bacary Sagna, has told PSG star Kylian Mbappe not to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, and encouraged him to remain at the club for at least one more season.
Mbappe has been heavily tipped to leave the French Club this summer, with Real Madrid considered to be his next destination, and there are suggestions the Spanish giants hope to agree a world-record fee for the 2018 World Cup winner in order to land him at the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.
The ex-France international Bacary Sagna who made 67 appearances for France between 2007 and 2016, believes that the 21-year-old should stay at the Parc de Princes for at least another season before thinking about accepting any offer from the Spanish gaints.
"I think playing one more season and be successful in Paris would be good for him because Paris has a good team and they have a good chance to win the Champions League,” Sagna told Goal.
“It’s difficult to refuse Real Madrid, so it’s going to be a tough period for Mbappe."
"As a football fan of course you want to see him playing at his best level and for the best team. But Madrid has Benzema who is the main player for Madrid. It’s tricky.”
Sagna concluded by saying he is a good admirer of the relationship between his fellow country man Mbappe and that of the Brazilian star Neymar when going forward for PSG, as they have the right attitude on the pitch, and can defeat any team on a very good day.
Mbappe's contract with PSG, is due to expire in 2022, however, PSG are yet to reach an agreement with the former Monaco striker over a contract extension.
So far this season, the young striker has netted 30 goals, and 17 assist in 33 appearance across all competitions for PSG.
PSG are currently among the favourites to win Champions League trophy this season having knocked-out Borussia Dortmund in the last 16, before the competition was halted due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and a decision is yet to be reached by the UEFA board when the competition will resume and be completed.
