LASK Vs Manchester United Europa League Game, To Be Played Behind Closed Doors
Following guidance from the Austrian Government, Manchester United have been informed by UEFA and LASK that the Europa League game on Thursday will be played behind closed doors due to concerns of the spread of Coronavirus.
According to a statement on Tuesday from Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, the Austrian football league said that for games to be played behind closed doors, would only be considered if there's no other options available and no other possibilities before the games would be decided to be played in an empty staduim.
Manchester United will travel to Austria for the round of 16 first leg fixture of the Europa League, to be play LASK in the Linzer Stadion.
LASK normally play their home league games in a stadium capacity of 6,009, but play their European fixtures at the 21,005 capacity Linzer Stadion, which will now be empty against United on Thursday.
According to reports, some United fans have already bought the tickets for the game, but LASK will cancel all tickets issued to Manchester United, as United will automatically issue refunds on behalf of LASK to fans who purchased tickets.”
LASK currently tops the Austrian Bundesliga table with 54 points, and 6 points above second one place team Red Bull Salzburg.
Some other Europa League games this Thursday will also be played behind closed doors;

Inter Milan 🆚 Getafe
Olympiakos 🆚 Wolves
Wolfsburg 🆚 Shakhtar
