First National Team Call-up for Cyriel Dessers and Kingsley Ehizibue as Super Eagles Prepares To Face Sierra Leone.
Super Eagles Head coach Gernot Rohr on Wednesday, released the Nigeria's 24-man squad list for the back-to-back AFCON 2021 qualifers fixture against the Leone stars of Sierra Leone....
The fixtures which has been scheduled to hold later on Friday March 27th at the Stephen Keshi's staduim in Asaba, and Tuesday, 31st March at the Siaka Stephens stadium in Freetown, has seen 25-year-old Cyriel Dessers and 24-year-old Kingsley Ehizibue make their maiden Call-up to the Nigeria senior national team.
The Belgian born Cyriel Dessers, currently plies his trade as a centre-forward in the Eredivisie for Heracles Almelo club side. He's scored 18 goals and created 6 assists in 28 appearance across all competition this season. He is currently the top scorer in the Eredivisie with 15 goals.
Cyriel expressed his gratitude via his Twitter handle saying;
"I am so honoured and proud. Can’t wait to wear the Green-White jersey and meet the team."
While Kingsley Ehizibue is a German born, and currently plays as a right-back for Bundesliga side FC Cologne. He was raised in Netherlands, and started his footballing youth career for PEC Zwolle. He has scored one goal and an assist in his 21 appearance for FC Köln this season.
Meanwhile, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and Wigan Athletic defender Leon Balogun gets a recall to Gernot Rohr 24-man list to represent the National team.

CloudNine Sports earlier reported that the three time African Champions, are in (Group L) alongside Sierra Leone, Benin Republic and Lesotho, having won the Squirrels of Benin 2-1 in Uyo and also got a 4-2 away victory over the Crocodiles of Lesotho last November. They are now set to play their 3rd and 4th group game against the Leone stars.
The Super Eagles qualification for the 33rd AFCON will be guaranteed, if they get a win in the next two games, as they currently sits first in the group with 6 pionts after two games, Benin in second with 3 points, Lesotho and Sierra Leone in third and fourth place respectively with 1 points each.
