Champions League Return Leg Fixture Between Manchester City And Real Madrid Have Been Postponed.

The Champions league round of 16 return leg fixture between English side Manchester City and Spanish side Real Madrid have been postponed.

The match which is scheduled to go down next Tuesday, at the Etihad staduim, have now been postponed, over the fear with the spread of the deadly Coronavirus Outbreak.

Manchester City released a statement which read:
"The decision to postpone Tuesday’s game was made in conjunction with UEFA and follows confirmation that players from Real Madrid will self-isolate for fifteen days, after it emerged that a player from the club’s basketball team tested positive for COVID-19.

"The club sends it best wishes to the players and staff at Real Madrid’s football and basketball teams.

"Further information regarding the rescheduled date and related ticketing information will follow in due course."

Real Madrid's footballers have been forced to self-isolate for a period of 15-days, after a member of the club's basketball team, who they share a training ground with, tested positive for the virus, as the La Liga have already postponed the league for 2 weeks.

Man City emerged winners in the first leg 2-1 when they travelled to Spain last month to play Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Gabriel Jesus and Kevin de Bryune, scoring both goals for Pep Guardiola's men on the night, and Isco scoring the only goal for Real Madrid.
