The Union Of European Football Association (UEFA), have appointed French referee Clement Turpin to take charge of the Champions League round of 16 first-leg fixture between Chelsea and Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, 25th February 2020
The 37-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best referees in France, has already overseen four matches in the group stage of the Champions League this season, one of which includes the Barcelona 3-1 victory at home to Borrusia Dortmund and Tottenham 2-7 humiliating home deafeat to Bayern Munich under former manager Mauricio Pochettino last November.
He has dished our 18 yellow cards and 1 red card in the 4 games he has officiated so far in the Champions League this season.
