The Russian tennis star, is one of ten women, and the only Russian, to hold the career Grand Slam title, having won her first Wimbledon title in 2004 at the age of 17 years and 76 days old. She is the third youngest female winner in the tournament history.
Sharapova at 18 years, became the world No. 1 for the first time in 2005, making her the first Russian female tennis player to top the singles rankings.
She also went further to be crowned champion of the US Open in 2006, the 2008 Australian Open, and the French Open twice in 2012 and 2014, also adding a silver medal to her gallery in the women's singles tournament at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
The 32-year-old speaking via her official social media handles says that;
Sharapova achieved a great feat in the world of Tennis, with several tennis pundits and former players calling her one of tennis's best competitors in history.

She expressed her strong emotions through a piece with Vanity Fair and Vogue Magazine, as she reflects on her career, looks to her future, and asks: How do you leave behind the only life you’ve ever known? "I am giving my life to tennis, tennis gave me a life."
