Nike Launches A New Jersey For the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The American multinational corporation "NIKE", and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released the new Super Eagles of Nigeria jersey ahead of the upcoming AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign and the 2020 FIFA world cup qualifying round...
Two years after Nigeria awed the world with the Super Eagles Jersey which was ranked as the best jersey by a national team side, was launched prior to the 2018 FIFA world cup in Russia. The new Jersey has been unveiled today, 5th February 2020 in the United States of America.
It will officially be used by the team starting from when the qualifying matches begins on 23rd March.
The three times African champions Super Eagles of Nigeria, have been drawn in Group C for the 2022 African FIFA world cup qualifiers, alongside Cape Verde, Central African Republic, and Liberia.
CloudNine Sportshad earlier reported that, this will be the third time the America's sports kit manufacturers Nike will come with new designs for Nigeria’s national teams since they became official kit sponsors of the NFF in April 2015.
The Nike senior director and Global communications "Heidi Burgett" speaks on the new jersey via his twitter handle saying;
"The New 2020 kits for Nigeria: Home kit’s hand drawn design fuses the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe w/ modern football design.
Away kit trim is inspired by Onaism. Broader collection of Super Eagles apparel includes a poncho, vest, dress, and more."
