Brazilian Legend "Pele" Is Declining In Health... Says Son!

Brazilian soccer legend "Pele" has become depressed due to his poor health and inability to walk unaided....

The 79-year-old Pele, who is set to clock 80 years later in October, has seen his health deteriorate, as he now needs support to walk, with many of his public appearances in a wheelchair.

CloudNine Sports, reported Last year that Pele was rushed to the hospital after attending a Sponsors event in April 2019, He was treated for strong fever and urinary tract infection.

Pele's son Edinho speaking in an interview with Brazil's Globo Esporte says that the three-time World Cup winner now refuses to leave home, following complications with his recovery from hip surgery.

"He is very sheepish, reclusive."

"He's embarrassed, he doesn't want to go out, be seen, or do practically anything that involves leaving the house.

"He's pretty fragile. So he has this problem with mobility and that has set off a kind of depression.

"He can't walk normally. Only with the walker. He still has a lot of difficulty walking."

Pele is regarded as the greatest player of all time, he currently is the all time leading goal scorer for Brazil national team with 77 goals in 92 appearance, He remains the only player to have won the World Cup three times in 1958, 1962 and 1970. At 17-years and 245 days, Pele became the youngest player to lift the World Cup.
