Ecuadorian footballer Antonio Valencia believes that Manchester United new signing Odion Ighalo will be a great success to the squad during his six-months stay with the club.
The 34-year-old right-back who currently plays for Ecuadorian football club, L.D.U Quito have backed Ighalo to shine at United, after the Nigerian choosed to wear the No.25 shirt during his stay at the club.

CloudNine Sports had earlier reported that, the No.25 shirt was previously worn by the former Machester United captain Antonio Valencia who joined the club during the Sir Alex Ferguson days. He signed from Wigan Athletic in 2009, and left the club in 2019, ending his 10 years stay with the Red devil's, scoring 17 goals in 241 appearance for the club.
Ighalo will be the ninth player to wear the No.25 shirt in the history of United, joining the Likes of Anthony Valencia, Nick Powell, Danny Simpson, David Jones, Quinton Fortune, Jordi Cruyff, Kevin Pilkington and Gary Walsh to have adorned the number.

The former United Captain Valencia says via his Twitter handle that;
The 30-year-old Nigerian thanked Antonio Valencia immensely for his support as he also granted an interview via the club's website, on the reasons why he choose to wear the No.25 shirt for United;
Ighalo also spoke on the reasons why he turned down other clubs transfer bid and choose United;

"The Number 19 was available here, but i considered what I wore at Watford, which was 24, but 24 is not available. In Shanghai number 9 is what I wear, but it’s not also available. So I said 24 plus 1 is equal to 25, so I said okay, let me go for 25 shirt, instead of 19."
"Other teams wanted me, but I told my agent that United is what I want, and it has been my dream to play for the club. He said you’re going to get a pay-cut to go to United. I said I don’t care. Make this deal happen. I want to go to United. I don’t care how much is the pay-cut, make it happen"
