The Portugal national team captain,and Madeira-born superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, on Wednesday broke the record as the first individual in the world, to hit two hundred million followers on a photo-sharing media known as Instagram.
The Juventus forward who is regarded as one of the greatest player of all times, have started the new year 2020 on a good note both in his personal and professional lifestyle, having already scored 7 goals in just four matches for his club this year.
The 34-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo who turns 35 in a week time, has been on top of the highest followers chart, ahead of Selena Gomez, his closest competition and the one who he overthrew to become 'King of social media' back in October 2018, now has 33 million follows ahead of the 27-year-old American entertainer who is now fourth on the chart. Ariana Grande and Dwayne Johnson stays second and third respectively with 173 million and 170 million followers each.
According to Forbes, Ronaldo makes a staggering $47.8million dollars per year from paid-instagram posts.
The former Sporting CP, Manchester United and Real Madrid forward, has now scored more than 700 career goals, and will be looking to continue his free-scoring form when Juventus hosts Fiorentina on Sunday in the SerieA, after a disappointing result last Sunday away to Napoli when they lost 2-1 with Ronaldo scoring the only goal for Juventus on the night.
